But Now They're Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows\u003c\/em\u003e appeared in July 1968, followed just a few months later by \u003cem\u003eProphets, Seers \u0026amp; Sages: The Angels Of The Ages\u003c\/em\u003e. Both albums feature Bolan's distinctive acoustic guitar and vocals alongside Steve Peregrin Took's bongos and percussion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003eThe music captures Bolan at a very different point from the electric glam-rock sound that would later define T. Rex. These early recordings are rooted in psychedelic folk and acid folk, combining intricate acoustic guitar, hand percussion, surreal imagery and Bolan's deliberately fantastical lyrics.
