Released in 2010 on Hospital Records, “Sweet Harmony” is Danny Byrd's energetic drum & bass revival of one of the defining rave-era tracks of the early 1990s. Issued as NHS160, this 12" pairs the main version with a dedicated Jungle Mix, giving the release both a polished, soulful drum & bass treatment and a tougher old-school jungle interpretation.

The original “Sweet Harmony” was recorded and released by the British duo Liquid in 1992, becoming a major UK rave and dancefloor track. The original drew heavily on CeCe Rogers' 1987 house classic “Someday”, and its unmistakable vocal and piano-led character made it one of the recognisable sounds of the early-90s hardcore scene. Liquid's track reached No. 15 in the UK Singles Chart in 1992.

Danny Byrd's version, produced for the 2010 drum & bass generation, retains the euphoric spirit of the original while transforming it into a faster, heavier production. The main “Sweet Harmony” runs to 6:08, with Byrd's soulful, melodic D&B approach providing a natural bridge between classic rave and the Hospital Records sound of the late 2000s and early 2010s.

The “Sweet Harmony (Jungle Mix)” takes things further towards old-school jungle, with a more stripped-back breakbeat workout and a distinctly retro rave feel. Danny Byrd himself described the mix as an old-school jungle treatment, making the AA-side particularly appealing to DJs and collectors looking for the crossover between classic hardcore, jungle and modern drum & bass.
