T.C. – Where's My Money / Deep (Roni Size VIP)

T.C.'s “Where's My Money” is a hard-hitting slice of late-2000s UK drum & bass, originally released on D-Style Recordings in 2007. Taken from his debut album Evolution, the track became one of T.C.'s defining productions, helping establish the Bristol producer as one of the most exciting new names in drum & bass while also crossing over into the emerging dubstep scene.

T.C. had begun producing from a young age, developing his sound through the UK's rapidly evolving bass-music scene. By the time Evolution appeared in 2007, tracks including “Deep”, “Rockstar”, “Jump” and “Where's My Money” had received major support from DJs and radio broadcasters, helping T.C. build a reputation for energetic, technically polished productions that could move between different strands of bass music.

The A-side delivers the unmistakable T.C. approach: heavy bass weight, crisp programmed drums and a powerful dancefloor-focused arrangement. “Where's My Money” became particularly notable for its influence on the early dubstep scene, with its bass-heavy production making it a natural crossover point between contemporary drum & bass and the heavier sounds emerging from UK underground clubs at the time.

On the flip, “Deep (Roni Size VIP)” provides an important connection to the Bristol drum & bass tradition. Roni Size's influence looms large over the city's electronic music history, and this VIP treatment gives T.C.'s track a tougher, club-oriented interpretation. The pairing makes this 12" particularly useful for DJs looking for heavyweight late-2000s drum & bass and dubstep crossover material.

Released as part of the D-Style Recordings catalogue, this is an appealing piece of 2000s UK bass-music vinyl for collectors of T.C., Roni Size, Bristol drum & bass, dubstep and the wider D-Style scene. The record is also available in a limited-edition picture-disc pressing, catalogued as DSR013PIC, adding further collector interest to an already sought-after T.C. release.
