Festliche Barockmusik brings together a selection of elegant and festive works from the Baroque era, making this CD an ideal introduction to some of the most recognisable sounds of Baroque classical music. The programme combines richly orchestrated concert works, graceful string arrangements and celebrated pieces by composers including Pachelbel, Corelli, Vivaldi and J.S. Bach.

Among the highlights is Pachelbel's famous Canon In D-dur, one of the best-known pieces of Baroque music, alongside Corelli's Concerto Grosso In G-moll, Op. 6 Nr. 8, often associated with Christmas because of its Fatto per la notte di Natale ("Made for Christmas Eve") tradition.
