KMFDM – Money is the fifth studio album from the influential German industrial group, originally released in 1992 on Wax Trax! Records. Coming after the breakthrough Naïve, the album found KMFDM developing their distinctive blend of distorted guitars, electronic programming, pounding rhythms and dancefloor-oriented industrial grooves.

The album opens with the driving "Money", one of KMFDM's best-known club tracks, followed by "Vogue", whose combination of industrial electronics, heavy guitar and infectious rhythm became another standout from the record. "Help Us / Save Us / Take Us Away" pushes the band's sound towards a more accessible industrial-rock style, while the extended "Bargeld" provides one of the album's heavier, more hypnotic moments.

Side two features "Spiritual House", "Sex On The Flag (Jezebeelzebuttfunkmix)", "I Will Pray" and "We Must Awaken", showcasing KMFDM's ability to move between aggressive industrial rock, electronic dance music, funk and experimental programming. The album's combination of metallic guitars and club-oriented production helped establish the template for much of the industrial dance and alternative electronic music that followed.

Money also has an interesting place in KMFDM's history. The album developed from an abandoned project originally titled Apart, following a period of tension between Sascha Konietzko and En Esch. The material was subsequently reshaped into Money, with additional recording and remixes resulting in the final album.

The original Wax Trax! LP is particularly interesting to collectors because the vinyl edition contains eight tracks, while the later CD editions added three further tracks — "Under Satan (Dub)", "Vogue 2000" and "Money (Deutschmark-Mix)".

For collectors of KMFDM, Wax Trax! Records, industrial rock, EBM, industrial dance and 1990s electronic music, Money is an essential early-'90s release and an excellent example of the band's transition towards their more polished, dance-oriented industrial sound.
