Recorded in March 2015 at Systems Two Studio in Brooklyn, New York, MURAL is the striking debut release from an international trio of rising contemporary jazz musicians: Japanese guitarist Akira Ishiguro, German bassist Peter Schwebs, and Chilean drummer Rodrigo Recabarren. Built around deep musical interaction and collective improvisation, the album presents a refined and highly collaborative approach to modern jazz composition.
