“Please Stay” is the sought-after 1966 British beat and freakbeat single from “The Cryin' Shames”, a group from Liverpool whose short-lived career produced one of the more memorable records of the British 1960s underground scene. Produced by legendary songwriter and producer “Joe Meek”, the single combines a dramatic vocal performance with the distinctive atmospheric production associated with Meek's work.
