Gok Wan – Isolation Nation

Gok Wan – Isolation Nation

Bring the energy of the dancefloor home with Isolation Nation, a two-disc house music compilation curated by DJ, broadcaster and fashion personality Gok Wan. Packed with vocal house, soulful grooves, club classics and contemporary dancefloor favourites, this collection celebrates the uplifting, communal spirit of house music and its ability to bring people together through sound.

The first disc leans into soulful and disco-influenced house, balancing familiar vocal anthems with modern club productions and inventive remixes. Kings of Tomorrow featuring Julie McKnight's “Finally” is a standout vocal house classic, while The Shapeshifters featuring Billy Porter deliver the uplifting “Finally Ready”. King Unique's “Love Is What You Need (Look Ahead) (Knee Deep Classic Club Mix)” adds an extended club perspective, while The Vision featuring Andreya Triana's “Heaven” brings soulful vocals to the mix. Further highlights include Donna Allen's “He Is The Joy (Alaia & Gallo Remix)”, Cleptomaniacs featuring Bryan Chambers' “All I Do (Dr Packer Remix)” and Seamus Haji's “Boogie 2Nite”.

There is plenty for fans of feel-good, groove-led house, from Mighty Mouse's “The Spirit” and Casbah 73's “Love Saves The Day” to Fish Go Deep & Tracey K's enduring “The Cure & The Cause”. Oliver Dollar & Jimi Jules' “Pushing On” and Fiorious' “I'm Not Defeated” add further dancefloor character, making the first disc a varied journey through soulful, disco-tinged and vocal house.

The second disc moves towards a punchier, club-focused sound, incorporating deep house, tech house and modern house productions. Darius Syrossian's “Come On Come On” sets the tone, followed by Shawn Christopher's “You Can Make It (Alaia & Gallo Remix)” and Shakedown's much-loved “At Night”. Franky Rizardo's “Same Man”, Flashmob's “Need In Me” and John Summit's “Deep End” bring contemporary club energy, while Amine Edge & DANCE vs. Clyde P's “Dancin'”, Shiba San & Tim Baresko's “All I Need” and Endor's “Pump It Up” keep the emphasis on infectious rhythms and big dancefloor hooks.

The closing stretch returns to vocal-led house with Dario D'Attis featuring Jinadu's “Space & Time (Vocal Mix)”, Candi Staton's “Hallelujah Anyway (Larse Vocal)” and Soulsearcher's “Can't Get Enough (Vocal Club Mix)”. ATFC featuring Lisa Millett's “Bad Habit (Dr Packer Remix)” adds another soulful club favourite, before Gok Wan & Craig Knight featuring Kele Le Roc close the set with “Let Me Be Your Fantasy”.

With 30 tracks across two discs, Isolation Nation offers a broad snapshot of house music spanning soulful vocals, disco influences, deep grooves and contemporary club sounds. It's a strong choice for house music fans, DJs and listeners looking for a varied collection of uplifting tracks for parties, home listening or a dancefloor-inspired soundtrack.
