“The Id” is the second studio album from American singer-songwriter “Macy Gray”, released in 2001 as the follow-up to her acclaimed debut “On How Life Is”. Produced by Macy Gray alongside Darryl Swann, the album expands her distinctive blend of soulful vocals, R&B grooves, funk, rock and alternative pop, with Gray’s unmistakable raspy voice remaining at the centre of the sound.
