Left Of The Middle is the 1997 debut studio album from "Natalie Imbruglia", released in the UK by RCA Records on 24 November 1997. Recorded during 1996–1997, the album combines polished pop-rock songwriting with alternative pop, acoustic elements and subtle electronic influences, establishing Imbruglia as one of the most recognisable new voices of late-1990s pop.

The album opens with "Torn", Imbruglia's defining international hit and a cover of the song originally written by members of Ednaswap alongside Phil Thornalley. Her version, produced by Thornalley and mixed by Nigel Godrich, became the breakthrough single from the album and remains her signature recording.

Beyond "Torn", Left Of The Middle features the singles "Big Mistake", "Wishing I Was There" and "Smoke", alongside fan favourites including "One More Addiction", "Leave Me Alone", "Pigeons And Crumbs", "Don't You Think?" and "Impressed".
