Motions & Emotions is a beautifully atmospheric 1969 studio album from legendary Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, recorded for the German MPS label. Rather than the hard-swinging trio performances for which Peterson is perhaps best known, this album places his extraordinary piano technique within sophisticated orchestral arrangements by Claus Ogerman, creating an elegant meeting point between jazz, pop, easy listening and contemporary orchestral music.
