Soundgarden – Flower is an early and highly sought-after release from one of the defining bands of the Seattle grunge and alternative rock movement. Originally released in 1989, this powerful 12" single captures Soundgarden's raw early sound, combining heavy guitar riffs, punk energy and Chris Cornell's distinctive vocals.

The A-side opens with "Flower," one of the band's key early recordings. Built around Kim Thayil's heavy, angular guitar work and Cornell's powerful vocal delivery, the track demonstrates the darker, heavier direction that would become a defining characteristic of Soundgarden's music.

"Head Injury" follows with another burst of aggressive early Soundgarden, blending pounding drums, distorted guitars and a raw punk-metal intensity. The B-side features "Toy Box," an extended track that further showcases the band's ability to combine heavy riffs with unconventional structures and atmospheric tension.

Released during Soundgarden's formative years, Flower provides a fascinating glimpse of the band before their breakthrough into the mainstream.
