Voice Of The Beehive – Honey Lingers

Voice Of The Beehive – Honey Lingers

Following their debut Let It Bee, Voice Of The Beehive returned in 1991 with Honey Lingers, a colourful collection of melodic alternative pop and guitar-driven indie rock. Blending jangling guitars, catchy hooks, upbeat rhythms and the band's distinctive vocal harmonies, the album captures their knack for combining infectious pop melodies with a playful, slightly offbeat personality.

The album opens with the lively single “Monsters And Angels”, setting the tone for a collection full of memorable songs and energetic performances. “Adonis Blue” and “Look At Me” showcase the band's melodic songwriting, while their spirited cover of The Partridge Family's “I Think I Love You” became another popular single. Elsewhere, “Little Gods”, “I'm Shooting Cupid” and “Perfect Place” provide further highlights, balancing bright pop sensibilities with a more reflective edge.

Featuring three UK Top 40 singles, Honey Lingers is an excellent example of early-1990s alternative pop, with polished production, infectious choruses and plenty of character. A great addition for fans of Voice Of The Beehive, jangly guitar pop and the melodic indie sounds of the early 1990s.
