ZZ Top – Fandango!

Released in 1975, Fandango! is one of ZZ Top’s defining albums, perfectly capturing the trio’s blend of Texas blues, hard rock, and boogie. Uniquely structured, the album combines live recordings on its first side with new studio material on its second, showcasing both the band's formidable stage presence and their growing songwriting confidence.

The live portion features energetic performances of rock and blues standards, including “Thunderbird” and “Jailhouse Rock,” alongside the extended “Backdoor Medley,” which highlights the band's roots in traditional electric blues. The recordings capture the raw chemistry between Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard at a time when they were becoming one of America's premier live acts.
